Dr. Saran Marwaha is a highly respected consultant cardiologist with wide-ranging expertise across both general and specialist cardiology. She is particularly known for her work in inherited cardiac conditions and sports cardiology, providing expert, personalised care to patients across London.
She has completed an intercalated BSc in Cardiovascular Sciences from Imperial College London, graduating with distinction. She was awarded her PhD by St George’s, University of London, for her research into cardiomyopathy and the athlete’s heart, which she completed prior to finishing her specialist cardiology training in the East of England Deanery.
Dr. Marwaha holds advanced accreditation in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMR), CT Coronary Angiography (CTCA), and echocardiography.
She manages a full range of cardiac symptoms, including chest pain, palpitations, breathlessness, and hypertension, and has extensive experience in diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease.

Specialist Screening and Sports Cardiology you can Trust
As part of her work with Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), Dr. Marwaha has nationally screened over 20,000 individuals for conditions associated with sudden cardiac death. She also has substantial experience in elite and professional sport, having screened footballers, rugby players, cricketers, and triathletes. Her expertise has been called upon at major sporting events, including providing medical support at the London Marathon and Lord’s Cricket Ground.
In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Marwaha is a Clinical Lecturer in Sports Cardiology at St George’s, University of London, where she plays an active role in medical education and training. She is widely published and regularly presents her work at international cardiology conferences, including the European Society of Cardiology.
